The African Business Travel Association (ABTA) has appointed experienced aviation, travel and tourism management professional, Toni Ukachukwu, as the Regional Manager for ABTA in Nigeria.
Ukachukwu has over 10 years’ experience in the international travel and tourism industry and has provided strategic turnaround and people leadership for leading tourism and aviation businesses in emerging markets.
“Toni’s senior-level experience in aviation, travel and media will be an immense asset for ABTA as it sets its sights on further influencing the corporate travel space in Nigeria, and indeed Africa,” says Monique Swart, ABTA founder.
“So focused on the sector is Toni, that he also publishes Aviators Africa magazine and is the founder of Aviators Africa Academy, a social enterprise geared at inspiring the next generation in aviation and aerospace in Africa.”
Adds Ukachukwu: “ABTA’s reputation in the Nigerian corporate travel industry is without equal and I’m looking forward to raising the organisation’s profile even further so that travel professionals in the country can benefit from the shared learning opportunities ABTA offers and employ best-practice solutions in the sphere of corporate travel.”
