Aha adds Durban boutique hotel to its portfolio

Aha Hotels and Lodges has announced the addition of Durban’s Avondale Boutique Hotel to its portfolio, effective 1 February, 2018.

The property, centrally located near Florida Road, will be fully incorporated within the Aha brand and will be renamed aha Avondale Boutique Hotel.

The hotel features 17 bedrooms, consisting of 3 superior suites, 12 queen suites and two family rooms. Guests staying at the property can also look forward to visit the Durban Botanical Gardens, uShaka Marine World and shopping malls in the area.

Earlier this month, the group also announced that it is launching its own GDS chain code titled ‘GO’. Travel agents across the world can now use the straightforward chain code ‘GO’ to make their bookings across all aha establishments.

The ‘GO’ chain code is applicable immediately on Amadeus and Galileo whilst Sabre will follow shortly however will remain on the existing RH code in the interim.

CEO of aha Hotels & Lodges, Neil Bald says, “We are very pleased with the introduction of aha’s new chain code. It will make aha hotels more accessible and easier for travel agents to locate our various properties to make bookings and fulfil enquiries.”
