New leadership at the helm of FCM Travel Solutions Southern Africa

FCM Travel Solutions Southern Africa is pleased to announce that Bonnie Smith has recently been appointed as General Manager for the brand.

Smith joined Flight Centre 16 years ago, working her way up the ranks into roles that have given her experience in both operations and technology. With a stint in New Zealand and Australia, Smith worked both in retail travel and corporate travel before taking on the role of GM Technology for the Group.

As a structured, systematic and ambitious person with a passion for change management, technology and corporate travel, Smith is the perfect asset for the FCM Travel Brand in South Africa.

“Bonnie’s experience and accomplishments within the Flight Centre Travel Group make her a great match for this position at the helm of FCM Travel Solutions. Thanks to her operational and technology background, Bonnie is ideally suited to drive the brand forward in these challenging times by bringing technology closer to the customer,” says Andrew Stark, MD for the Flight Centre Travel Group.

Smith says she is excited to embark on her journey as the leader of such a successful global brand. She says she is looking forward to guiding FCM through the challenges of COVID-19 and even taking the brand to the next level through technology and automation, while continuing to uphold FCM’s trusted product and service offerings.

“Through my years of experience, both internationally and in South Africa, I’ve learned how important it is to combine the latest technology with a personal touch. On this new journey, I’m excited to be able to do more for our customers by ensuring I’m making their travels easier and more enjoyable through technology, complemented with a personal touch. Smith is taking over the role of Nicole Adonis, who left the company in February to pursue new opportunities.
