Road Lodges, part of the City Lodge Hotel Group (CLHG), are now bookable via global distribution systems (GDS).

The 22 Road Lodges, totalling 2,059 rooms, have been listed on Galileo and Amadeus, with the Sabre listings to be completed soon.

Inventory comes out of CLHG’s proprietary Lodgix system into the GDS and rooms are visible on both systems. There is no change to the payment process: Road Lodges still have to be prepaid or settled by guests on arrival.

“We are excited to add our 22 Road Lodge properties to GDS, making life easier and more streamlined for travel agents. We look forward to a boost in bookings as we optimise these GDS channels with our travel trade partners in mind,” says Lindiwe Sangweni-Siddo, chief operating officer at CLHG.

In addition, the group reminds IATA-registered travel agents and travel management companies that it continues to pay 10% commission on bookings for all CLHG brands – Fairview Hotel, Courtyard Hotel, City Lodge Hotel, Town Lodge and Road Lodge.

Zuki Jantjies, divisional director of sales and marketing at CLHG, adds, “We have always had a strong relationship with the travel management industry and paying commissions, a practice that has long been part of CLHG business culture, is an important part of that. For more information on how to apply, we refer travel agents to our website.”
