SWISS launches door-to-door ground transport service for its Geneva customers

Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) has launched a new SWISS Airport Shuttle Geneva, in partnership with Globe Limo SA.

The new service provides ground transportation between Geneva Airport and any pick-up or set-down address in Western Switzerland or adjacent parts of France. The service, which is available 24/7, should be especially welcomed by travellers with early-morning Geneva departures or late-evening arrivals, i.e. at times with limited public transport alternatives.

With its fleet of high-quality vehicles accommodating up to 16 passengers, the new SWISS Airport Shuttle Geneva is equally attractive for families and groups. The swiss.com/airportshuttlegeneva reservation platform also offers the choice of a shared or a private shuttle trip. The shared option is available to anyone located more than 20 kilometres from Geneva Airport, and allows the journey (and some of the costs) to be shared with fellow travellers. The private option offers a more direct and individual journey, and can be booked from any pick-up location.

The fare in both cases consists of a pick-up charge and a per-kilometre component. The pick-up charge amounts to CHF 15.00 (with the shared option) or CHF 50.00 (with the private option) for the first passenger, plus CHF 6.00 per additional passenger.

The route rate is CHF 2.70 per kilometre, though if the journey is shared, this is reduced by 25% per pick-up.

A full range of products and services to meet every customer’s needs

The SWISS Airport Shuttle Geneva joins a wide range of pre-flight, inflight and post-flight services that SWISS has developed to meet the specific individual needs of all its customers who travel from and to Geneva.

To optimize the airport process, for instance, SWISS offers the Fast Bag Drop, with which registered baggage can be handed in with a simple boarding pass scan. Travellers can also avoid the wait at security by purchasing the Priority Lane option. On the food and beverage front, customers can have their preferred inflight snack and drink delivered to them at their departure gate thanks to SWISS Food to Gate, which is a collaboration with smood.ch. And on board, the SWISS Saveurs programme offers an à la carte choice of meals and beverages which are complimentary for SWISS Business travellers and available for purchase by SWISS Economy guests.

SWISS Geneva also provides a special service for travellers to or from London for whom time is particularly precious. The SWISS Personal Airport Service offers access to a private terminal and limousine transport to the aircraft door to ensure the fastest, smoothest and most discreet transfer possible. The full range of products and services offered by SWISS in Geneva will be found at www.swiss.ch/choice-gva.
