Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) the innovator in global cruise travel with a 57-year history of breaking boundaries, today unveils its new brand positioning, “MORE,” reinforcing and extending its legacy of delivering more onboard offerings, more places to discover and more value with the launch of its all-new upgraded ‘More At Sea’ package.

NCL has a history of delivering endless options with over 600 unique itineraries through 2026 that call to 450 destinations around the world and the fleet features over 80 on-board restaurants and endless activities on board. There is something for every guest onboard NCL’s soon-to-be 20-ship fleet. They can create more memories of their dream holiday and never have to choose this or that, but instead can enjoy this AND that.

To further enhance the guest experience, NCL is upgrading its popular ‘Free At Sea’ package to ‘More At Sea,’ which will provide even more benefits and premium inclusions that guests want and that matter most to them on their well-deserved getaway. Starting today, guests can take advantage of this new and more inclusive package for voyages beginning 1 January 2025. ‘More At Sea’ will feature an expanded offering of guest-favourite amenities to enjoy, such as an extensive variety of globally sourced and recognised premium beverage brands across every spirit category, such as Grey Goose vodka, Casamigos Tequila, Woodford Reserve bourbon whiskey and more – all of which are included. Guests can also choose from over 100 specialty cocktails served across its more than 80 bars, including NCL’s award-winning Metropolitan Bar that shakes up sustainable craft cocktails exclusively aboard the Prima Class ships.

Cruisers’ favourite NCL cuisine can now be enjoyed even more, with additional specialty dining meals available with the debuting ‘More At Sea’ package for guests sailing on voyages of seven days or longer. They will also be able to enjoy more appetizers and desserts with up to three of each included at each sitting. Guests will also have faster and stronger connectivity onboard with Starlink’s high-speed internet access, as well as more Wi-Fi minutes included, with each guest in the stateroom now getting their own dedicated login for 150 minutes, helping more guests get online and stay connected while cruising. Still included in the package will be a $50 credit per shore excursion for the first guest, $300 airfare credit for the first and second guest on selected cruises as well as third and fourth guests sail free on select voyages. The all-new ‘More At Sea’ package was designed to deliver the experiences and perks that guests value most for an elevated holiday. For complete package details visit https://www.ncl.com/no/en/cruise-deals/more-at-sea

Following guest feedback and to deliver a seamless dining experience, NCL is replacing its specialty dining á la carte pricing with a flat cover charge for sailings beginning on 1 January 2025. For details on the new pricing, visit https://www.ncl.com/no/en/cruise-deals/more-at-sea

“This has been one of the most exciting journeys we’ve been on at NCL – always looking to further and genuinely understand what our guests value most during their cruise,” said David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line. “We have invested a lot of time listening to our guests and our travel partners…and we’ve found that what they want is to see more, do more and enjoy more when they cruise with us. They also want to do so with ease and simplicity, which is why today we are excited to announce the evolution of our signature ‘Free at Sea’ package to the all-new and elevated ‘More At Sea’ package. It will deliver a best-in-class upgraded experience with more variety, choice and value to enhance the guest experience, including more premium beverage options to choose from, more opportunities to dine at our specialty restaurants, more connectivity with Starlink’s high-speed Wi-Fi, and so much MORE!”

As the leader in entertainment at sea, Norwegian Cruise Line is also redefining its onboard offerings to deliver more variety of programming around the clock from bow-to-stern. Focused on providing more options for guests to enjoy entertainment outside of the theatre and around the ship, there will be something for everyone. The Brand is emphasising musical productions with greater global appeal, as recently announced with the unveiling of ‘Revolution: A Celebration of Prince’ to debut aboard the all-new Norwegian Aqua in 2025. Additionally, NCL is taking some of its highest rated shows across the fleet and enhancing them in time for the debut of Norwegian Aqua. Guest favourites “Elements,” which blends acrobatics, magic and intrigue, is being reproduced to “Elements: The World Expanded” to offer even more unexpected delights; and “Syd Norman’s Presents: Rumours” – a Fleetwood Mac tribute experience will move to the Aqua Theatre & Club to accommodate even more guests for this always jam-packed show.

To enable guests to cruise with ease, NCL is rolling out a new mobile app across its fleet by the end of this year. Designed to streamline the guest experience at every point of their cruise journey, the Norwegian Cruise Line mobile app simplifies the cruise planning process and includes enhanced features such as a more intuitive way to browse and make onboard reservations including dining, shore excursions and entertainment; an easier check-in process with reduced steps, a more transparent folio view of purchase history, and a dynamic home screen which displays relevant voyage information at each phase of the cruise holiday. This strategic vision of ‘Experience MORE at Sea’ emphasizes NCL’s history of delivering more variety and more choice for all types of travellers. With soon-to-be 20 ships offering a breadth of onboard experiences, from the industry’s only racetracks at sea to its award-winning spas complete with Thermal Suites with multisensory experiences; and more outdoor space across its newer vessels to bring guests closer to the ocean, there is more to see, more to do and more to enjoy!

In 2025 and 2026 respectively, the Company’s newest innovative vessels, Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna™, will offer more to enjoy with the debut of NCL-exclusive experiences, including the Aqua Slidecoaster, the world’s first hybrid rollercoaster and waterslide. With exhilarating dual slides and a magnetic lift that propels adventurous guests through two different courses, this innovative attraction will feature three stories of exciting twists and turns around the ship’s funnel. It will also premiere the Company’s first Thai specialty restaurant, Sukhothai, as well as its premiere eatery featuring a dedicated plant-based menu, Planterie, adding to the seemingly endless array of global cuisines available across the fleet for guests to discover.

Visiting 450 destinations around the world, including its private destinations of Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas and Harvest Caye in Belize, NCL delivers itineraries for every type of traveller, from weekend warriors to immersive explorers. Beginning in 2026 guests can enjoy a greater variety of shorter cruises; more fun-in-the sun Bermuda, Caribbean and Bahamas cruises; more diverse cruise lengths from Europe from seven to 16-day voyages; and bucket-list destinations like Alaska and Asia Pacific will continue to be a focus.

On April 16, 2026, Norwegian Jewel® will commence seven-to-nine-day cruises to Bermuda, launching the city as a new cruise destination. Departing from the SouthPort Marine Terminal Complex, where plans are currently underway with the local government to develop a facility to welcome cruisers in 2026, Norwegian Jewel’s Bermuda itineraries will feature overnight calls to Royal Naval Dockyard, Bermuda, providing guests more time to enjoy and discover the island’s turquoise blue waters and pink-sand beaches. This new homeport for NCL will provide residents in the U.S. Mid-Atlantic region more access to cruising, as it will be the only cruise line sailing from Philadelphia through Oct. 17, 2026.

“We remain committed to delivering more experiences for our guests to create unforgettable memories, so they can vacation better with us,” said David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line. “We are particularly proud to partner with PhilaPort to launch cruising in the area, making it even more accessible to the U.S. Mid-Atlantic region.”

“The Port of Philadelphia is extremely excited to partner with Norwegian Cruise Line, one of the world’s premier cruise lines,” said Jeff Theobald, executive director and CEO of PhilaPort. “Philadelphia has so much to offer, as the birthplace of freedom and the home to much of our nation’s history, we look forward to connecting cruisers with our world class city. This new service rounds out the portfolio of services offered at PhilaPort, and we look forward to this next phase of growth.”

The Company’s new 2026 spring/summer season includes nearly 250 itineraries for nine of its soon-to-be 20 ships. Embarking from U.S. and Canadian ports between April and November 2026, these voyages will call to 30 unique destinations across the Caribbean, Bermuda, Bahamas, Canada and New England, as well as Alaska. With an average of 10 hours in port, guests can choose to enjoy the picture-perfect beaches, colourful cities and vibrant culture of the Caribbean, Bahamas and Bermuda; enjoy the rustic Autumn foliage of Canada and New England; or dive deep into the pristine nature and abundant wilderness found in Alaska.

Herrera continued, “Our new 2026 spring/summer deployment further meets the holiday demands of our guests with more shorter cruise offerings to fun-in-the-sun destinations, such as the Bahamas and the Caribbean, as well as a variety of longer itineraries to bucket list destinations, such as Alaska.”

– All-Star Latin Lineup of Entertainers Come Together for a Ship-Wide Celebration Featuring Performances by Luis Fonsi, Paulina Rubio, Marcello Hernandez, and Pedro Capó –

JOHANNESBURG (29 November, 2023): Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), the innovator in global cruise travel with a 57-year history of breaking boundaries, yesterday celebrated the christening of Norwegian Viva, the Company’s highly anticipated newest vessel and the second ship in the award-winning Prima Class.

“To christen Norwegian Viva in Miami is incredibly special to many of us at NCL, not only because Miami is our hometown, but also because we can share this moment with our local family and friends,” said David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line. “Launching a ship is no solo endeavour. I am overwhelmed with gratitude towards the entire NCL team, our partners and especially our amazing crew who have contributed to bringing Norwegian Viva to life and who care for and deliver exceptional holiday experiences for our guests.”

Following Norwegian Viva’s debut this past August and its inaugural summer season of European voyages, over 1,500 guests joined the christening ceremony yesterday, held in the Company’s LEED® Gold Certified terminal at PortMiami. The Prima Class is committed to breaking new ground in ship design and amenities, reflecting Norwegian Cruise Line’s unwavering dedication to putting the guest and onboard experience at the forefront.

“As a Company, it has been a milestone year with the debut of next-generation ships across all three of our best-in-class cruise brands, Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, and Regent Seven Seas Cruises,” said Harry Sommer, president & chief executive officer of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. “The addition of Norwegian Viva further elevates our world-class fleet, providing our valued guests with another incredible way to vacation, discover new experiences and create unforgettable memories. Since she launched in August, Norwegian Viva’s initial guest satisfaction scores have outshined any newbuild in the history of the NCL fleet, a testament to not only how stunning this ship is, but also the exceptional level of service and attention provided by our amazing crew on board.”

Luis Fonsi, Norwegian Viva’s godfather and GRAMMY® Award-nominated singer, songwriter, musician, and producer, officially named and christened the vessel with the ceremonial champagne bottle break across the ship’s hull which signifies good fortune and safe travels for all who sail aboard. As a native Puerto Rican, who is also based in Miami, Fonsi embodies the vibrant energy guests can enjoy aboard Norwegian Viva with warm-weather itineraries spanning from the Caribbean to the Mediterranean.

The celebration continued through the evening with an unparalleled and next-level entertainment lineup headlined by Fonsi performing his award-winning and global chart-topping hit “Despacito,” among his other beloved Latin hits like “No Me Doy Por Vencido” and “Échame La Culpa.” Other talented performers with authentic Miami and Latin roots took the stage, including “Saturday Night Live” cast member and Miami-native, Marcello Hernandez; the Queen of Latin Pop, Paulina Rubio; and recently announced GRAMMY® Award-nominated artist, Pedro Capó.

“It is so exciting to celebrate the magnificent Norwegian Viva in true Latin-style in Miami and alongside fellow A-list Latino entertainers,” said Luis Fonsi, award-winning global artist. “We are giving her a proper despedida before she makes her debut in my hometown of San Juan, Puerto Rico.”

Norwegian Viva’s christening festivities also included the unveiling and dedication of the Knut Kloster Hall, a newly added installation at the NCL Terminal that pays homage to the Company’s founder, Knut Kloster, and colourfully shares details on NCL’s 57-year history of innovation in the cruise industry.

At 965 feet long with the capacity for 3,099 guests, Norwegian Viva has unique, thrilling activities including the three-story Viva Speedway; elevated offerings such as Indulge Food Hall, an open-air food market featuring 11 unique eateries; and an awe-inspiring art collection with stand-out pieces including British digital artist Dominic Harris’ 52-foot-wide interactive work of art named “Every Wing has a Silver Lining” installed at the Metropolitan Bar.

Following the inaugural sailing and select voyages from Miami, the ship will reposition to San Juan, Puerto Rico and be the newest ship to homeport in the destination when she arrives on 15 December 2023. Through March 2024, Norwegian Viva will offer port-intensive seven-day Caribbean voyages, where guests will wake up each day in a new tropical island paradise with calls to Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St. John’s, Antigua; Bridgetown, Barbados; Castries, St. Lucia; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; and St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands with no days at sea. In April 2024, Norwegian Viva will return to sail Mediterranean and Greek Isles itineraries that offer an unmatched opportunity to experience the beauty and culture of Europe. In addition, NCL’s year-round ‘Free at Sea’ offer provides travellers with more value with vacation-enhancing benefits, including unlimited open bar, specialty dining, shore excursion credits, complimentary Wi-Fi, discounted rates for the third and fourth guests and free roundtrip airfare for the second guest.

JOHANNESBURG, 16 August 2023 – Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has launched the highly anticipated Norwegian Viva, the second ship in its innovative, luxurious Prima Class. Embarking on its maiden voyage last week, the Norwegian Viva offers passengers an unapparelled journey and onboard experiences beyond the extraordinary.

This new class of the NCL fleet went to market last year with sister ship Norwegian Prima setting the stage for a reimagined era of cruising “designed to elevate every expectation”, the company explains. Combining the elements of a five-star hotel with a bigger and better ocean resort, state-of-the-art technology with world-class service, the Norwegian Viva now takes this concept to new heights.

From speciality fine dining, infinity pools and hot tubs to a virtual reality zone and adrenaline-pumping activities, such as a three-level race track at sea, the Norwegian Viva offers something for every kind of passenger.

Relax, recharge, rejuvenate

The wellness travel trend continues to grow, with it, the demand for wellness cruising. A standout feature of the Norwegian Viva, the magnificent Mandara Spa, speaks to this trend, offering next-level self-care and a haven for passengers to relax, recharge and rejuvenate on their voyage.

Overlooking the ocean and with water a central theme, the spa showcases a breathtaking two-storey waterfall, healing pools and an experiential muti-sensory shower. A steam room, salt room, ice room and the first-ever charcoal sauna at sea are housed in the unique Thermal Suite. The extensive treatment menu includes, among others, beauty therapy and aesthetic treatments, acupuncture and massage. Passengers can also get “shipshape” at the top-end Pulse Fitness Centre.

Says Kevin Bubolz, Vice President & Managing Director Continental Europe, Middle East, and Africa (CEMEA): “At Norwegian Cruise Lines, we understand that wellness is not a fleeting trend but a lifestyle that many of our travellers embrace. Aboard the Norwegian Viva, our passengers can seamlessly integrate wellness into their voyage, taking time out to nurture mind, body, and soul while cruising the open sea.”

The Mandara Spa is accessible to passengers 24/7, providing an ideal opportunity to indulge in some pampering when the ship cruises non-stop between ports. It also offers a welcome retreat after sightseeing excursions.

“The launch of the Norwegian Viva reflects our commitment to providing exceptional onboard experiences for our passengers,” says Bubolz. “With enhanced luxury, state-of-the-art facilities and wellness offerings, we also aim to exceed expectations. Travellers new to cruising or seeking a next-level experience are invited to embark on a journey with us and discover why a cruise on the Norwegian Viva is a cruise like no other.”

Norwegian Viva highlights:

– Norwegian Viva to Homeport in Four Bucket-List Mediterranean Destinations This Summer –

JOHANNESBURG, 11 August, 2023 – Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), the innovator in global cruise travel, with a 56-year history of breaking boundaries, has welcomed the very first guests to sail aboard the all-new Norwegian Viva, the Company’s highly anticipated new ship and second of the Prima Class, as it embarked on its maiden voyage from Venice (Trieste), Italy.

Making a grand debut in Europe, Norwegian Viva departed yesterday for its first spectacular nine-day journey through the Mediterranean, taking guests from Venice (Trieste), Italy to Lisbon, Portugal with stops in some of Europe’s most incredible seaside destinations including Salerno, off Italy’s picturesque Amalfi Coast; Cannes along France’s stunning Cote d’Azur; and Ibiza, Spain in the Balearic Islands, among other superb destinations. Norwegian Viva will sail a selection of bucket-list worthy Greek Isles and Mediterranean voyages through November, before homeporting in San Juan, Puerto Rico in December for a season in the Caribbean.

“This summer our guests will have the opportunity to explore Europe aboard our newest magnificent vessel, Norwegian Viva, while enjoying its well-appointed spacious design, elevated experiences, expansive culinary offerings and signature Norwegian Cruise Line hospitality provided by the best crew in the industry,” said David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line. “Norwegian Viva’s tagline is ‘Live it Up,’ and I have no doubt our guests will be doing just that while they cruise to some of the liveliest cities in Europe and the Caribbean during the ship’s inaugural season.”

Mirroring the design of the award-winning sister ship Norwegian Prima, Norwegian Viva features standout onboard experiences including the Viva Speedway—the three-level racetrack; Indulge Food Hall, an upscale food market exhibiting 11 unique eateries; the fastest slides at sea, The Drop and Rush; and NCL’s industry-exclusive sustainable cocktail bar, the Metropolitan Bar.

Norwegian Viva’s upscale and spacious design is elevated by an expansive array of artwork across the ship, including The Concourse, a multi-million-dollar outdoor sculpture garden, and a dynamic, interactive 52-foot-wide art piece by contemporary British digital artist Dominic Harris. Exclusively created for Norwegian Viva, Harris’ “Every Wing Has a Silver Lining” digital art piece is on display at Metropolitan Bar and dynamically responds throughout the day to passing movement, creating engagement with the viewer. Norwegian Viva also features a world-class entertainment lineup, headlined by the side-splitting Tony Award®-nominated comedy “Beetlejuice The Musical” and the iconic game show “Press Your Luck LIVE,” an immersive experience where the audience participates to win incredible grand prizes.

Following the ship’s maiden voyage, Norwegian Viva will sail a series of Mediterranean and Greek Isles itineraries, before its official Christening ceremony in Miami on 28 November, 2023. Luis Fonsi, Latin GRAMMY® award-winning artist and godfather to Norwegian Viva, will attend the celebration to officially name the ship and will be joined by The Queen of Latin Pop, Paulina Rubio; “Saturday Night Live” cast member and Miami-native Marcello Hernandez; and singer Pedro Capó. The ship will homeport in San Juan, Puerto Rico for a season of Caribbean voyages from December 2023 through March 2024 with calls to Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St. John’s, Antigua; Bridgetown, Barbados; Castries, St. Lucia; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; and St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands.

In May 2024, Norwegian Viva will return to Europe, where its Mediterranean itineraries offer an unmatched opportunity to experience the beauty and culture of Europe. With an average of 10.5 hours in port, travellers will have more time to explore with fewer days at sea. Guests can unpack once, all while enjoying the ease and comfort of their world-class travel accommodations and the ability to wake up in a new destination as the ship transports them from one spectacular European city to another.

– Cruise Line Welcomes Second Ship in Groundbreaking Prima Class –

JOHANNESBURG (3 AUGUST 2023) – Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), the innovator in global cruise travel with a 56-year history of breaking boundaries, today took delivery of Norwegian Viva, the newest vessel in the now 19-ship fleet and the second ship in the revolutionary Prima Class, at the renowned Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy.

The milestone event marks the arrival of the second of six ships in the Prima Class set to debut through 2028.

Following the launch of the award-winning Norwegian Prima in 2022, Norwegian Viva will continue to raise the bar on cruising. The ship’s tagline “Live it Up” embodies the enhanced guest experience and on-board characteristic of this pioneering class, including elevated offerings, more spacious designs, thrilling onboard activities such as the three-story Viva Speedway, and new dining concepts, most notably Indulge Food Hall—an open-air food market featuring 11 unique eateries.

“Ships as stellar as those of the Prima Class are only possible in collaboration with an incredible shipyard like Fincantieri,” said David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line. “Delivery marks an important milestone for Norwegian Viva, and we are beyond excited to bring this spectacular ship to life as we welcome guests aboard next week.”

While the ship boasts many of the highlights that are central to the Prima Class, unique to Norwegian Viva is the at-sea debut of Tony Award®-nominated production, “Beetlejuice,” where guests can “Live it Up” with the undead during a musical adaptation of Tim Burton’s 1988 film of the same name. Additional evening entertainment programming includes Press Your Luck Live—an immersive game show experience pulled straight from the television screen, offering audience members a chance to participate in the classic game and win prizes.

At 294 metres long, 143,535 gross tons and with the capacity for 3,100 guests, Norwegian Viva also features The Concourse, an outdoor sculpture garden in Ocean Boulevard, the wrap-around boardwalk bringing guests closer to the water than ever before. Reimagined for Norwegian Viva, the area will include work from six artists that have been featured on previous Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. ships: Kevin Box, Jonathan Prince, Arik Levy, Richard Hudson, Sophie Elizabeth Thompson, and Pablo Atchugarry. A new art addition will be included at Metropolitan Bar, the ship’s exclusive sustainable cocktail bar, “Every Wing has a Silver Lining,” a 16 metre-long interactive work of art designed exclusively for Norwegian Viva by contemporary British digital artist Dominic Harris.

“Norwegian Viva is a testament to our wonderful partnership with Norwegian Cruise Line,” said Pierroberto Folgiero,Chief Executive Officer of Fincantieri. “We are proud to play a role in the innovative Prima Class and look forward to continuing our partnership for years to come with the next four highly anticipated Prima Class ships.”

Following the ship’s maiden voyage on 10 August 2023, Norwegian Viva will sail a series of Mediterranean and Greek Isles itineraries, before her official Christening ceremony in Miami on 28 November 2023.
Although summer enters its final stretch in the Northern Hemisphere, travel agents can still capitalise on their last–minute business as Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), the innovator in global cruise travel, launches a bonus commission initiative on all Europe 2023 sailings.

From August 1 – 31, agents will receive a bonus commission on each booking placed on Europe 2023 cruises. The amount of the bonus commission depends on the sailing length and the cabin category. For example, travel agents, who book a balcony stateroom on a sailing that is 7 days or longer, will receive USD 75 in addition to their regular commission. Check out NCL’s favorite Europe sailings below!

Bask in the mystery and cuisine of the Mediterranean as seen in “White Lotus”

Norwegian’s Mediterranean cruises are perfect for viewers who were mesmerised by the scene-stealing colourful coastlines of Taormina, Sicily featured in HBO’s latest sensational drama, White Lotus. Those who were drawn to the destination will be equally captivated by each of the vibrant, sun-drenched ports Norwegian sails to across Italy, Greece, France, Spain and Croatia.

Guests who want the full White Lotus experience may select a Mediterranean cruise that visits one of Sicily’s breathtaking ports in Palermo, Siracusa, or Messina. And of course, each port in Sicily has wine tasting opportunities that are assuredly less uncomfortable than the vineyard double dates seen in the show!

While visiting Messina, a visit to Taormina is worthwhile for the sight of Mount Etna, the spectacular volcano shown erupting in the White Lotus‘ Season 2 finale as the storyline’s tension finally exploded (spoiler alert!). Fun fact—while filming the show, the volcano actually erupted, which is not uncommon as Mount Etna is one of the most active volcanos in the world. In Messina, travellers can also experience a Godfather Tour in the lesser-known, beautiful village of Savoca to see some of the iconic movie’s filming locations, much like the Di Grasso family did in the show.

The mysterious ambiance of White Lotus intrigues audiences who know that nothing is what it seems at the fictional resort. To evoke a similar feeling, while in Palermo guests may book the Secrets of Palermo tour to explore the city’s hidden gems and compelling history, including a visit to the catacombs. For the traveller who prefers a more relaxing vacation, an excursion over to the quaint village of Cefalu will take them to the picturesque beaches where the show was filmed.

Part of White Lotus’ allure is the luxurious lifestyle of the resort’s wealthy guests. For the most luxurious accommodations, look no further than The Haven, Norwegian’s exclusive ship-within-a-ship concept featuring a private enclave accessible only by keycard. Norwegian ensures that Haven guests will be pampered with privacy, personalised services of a concierge, a 24-hour butler and exclusive access to the Haven sundeck, restaurant, and lounge for the ultimate VIP experience

For an experience more akin to White Lotus Season 1, don’t miss the 7-day interisland Hawaii itinerary exclusive to the NCL brand! This unique itinerary, featuring nearly 100 hours of port time, calling to four islands with two overnight stays in Maui and Kauai, and no days at sea, is available all year long.

Relive the romance of “Bridgerton” with a cruise to the British Isles

For travellers who fell in love with the whimsical aesthetic of Netflix’s romantic drama Bridgerton, a trip to England will make the most charming winter getaway.

For experiences reminiscent of the hit series, many of NCL’s British Isles cruises visit multiple enchanting ports in England and the United Kingdom including Portland, where guests can visit the city of Bath which features Bridgerton-esque Georgian architecture including the Royal Crescent, used in the series as the Featherington Family’s home. A stop in Falmouth, England offers guests the chance to see how “high society” lived with an independent visit to Lahnydrock House, a stunning Victorian estate complete with a colorful garden that feels like part of a fairytale.

If selecting an itinerary that visits London (Tilbury), the period-piece enthusiast will feel transported back in time as they are surrounded by the cobblestoned-streets and the Georgian-era architecture of Greenwich, The Royal Borough of London where much of Bridgerton is filmed. Known for its tranquility and lush greenery, Greenwich may inspire visitors to take a romantic stroll or sit down for afternoon tea and cakes. In Greenwich, fans of the series can visit the old Royal Naval College, Ranger House—the iconic fictional Bridgerton family home, and the Queen’s House Colonnade in the National Maritime Museum Gardens where the Duke of Hastings’ brawl with Lord Berbrooke took place.

Experience the City of Lights like “Emily in Paris” with a cruise to Europe

Cafes, fashion, and love triangles, oh my! One episode of Netflix’s Emily in Paris would have anyone ready to visit the picturesque city of love to indulge in the shopping, delicacies, and romance that Emily gives the audience a peak of. Those who love the finer things in life, much like Emily, will enjoy one of Norwegian’s Europe cruises that visit Paris (Le Havre).

In Paris, guests may opt to experience the city on their own or with NCL’s Lunch on the Seine Tour, which will sail a scenic cruise along the river with sights of the city’s most impressive monuments including the Cathedral of Notre Dame, the Louvre Museum and the Eiffel Tower. The excursion is ideal for the tourist who wants to take a page from Emily’s book and snap selfies against some of the city’s most iconic locations.

Cuisine plays a leading role in Emily in Paris, and viewers of the show are likely eager to try some of the delicious French pastries and Michelin Star restaurants featured in the series. Most notably, fans can visit Terra Nova, the restaurant that is used as the filming location for Gabriel’s L’espirit de Gigi restaurant and many of the show’s most romantic scenes.

Some of the most beautiful landscapes featured in the series take place during Emily’s adventures outside the walls of the City of Lights. Guests can visit multiple ports along the South of France on NCL’s 9-day Mediterranean cruise aboard Norwegian Getaway with calls to Provence, as well as Nice—where Emily basked in the French Riviera sun during her glamorous girls trip to the iconic Villefranche bay. Provence, known for its rolling hills draped in fields of lavender, may be recognised as the backdrop to many scenes from Season 3, including the hot air balloon scene and the dramatic engagement party weekend. Guests can even dine at Gabriel’s bucket-list restaurant in Provence, which overlooks the lavender fields, set in La Bastide hotel in Airelles Gordes.

For a Parisian experience onboard, each of Norwegian’s world-class ships house Le Bistro, the NCL fan-favorite French restaurant. On the newest Prima Class ships, Le Bistro was designed to feel like an intimate dinner between lovers in a Parisian apartment. How fitting for the Emily in Paris experience.

Walk in the footsteps of royalty as seen in “The Crown” with a cruise to Northern Europe

For the history buff who can’t get enough of Netflix’s The Crown, a visit to London aboard one of NCL’s Baltic Cruises will give them the chance to walk in the footsteps of royalty. From England to Denmark to the Netherlands and beyond, guests are sure to feel the rich history in every port.

Royal highlights for fans of The Crown may include the Tower of London, where the crown jewels are displayed; St. Paul’s Cathedral, where Prince Charles and Princess Diana were married; and Westminster Abbey where many royal events such as coronations, the wedding of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip, and the wedding of Prince William and Princess Catherine took place. Guests can admire Buckingham Palace, one of the world’s last remaining working palaces and the official home of his Majesty the King. On select days, guests visiting Buckingham Palace may have the opportunity to see the formal changing of the guards.

Beyond London, Norwegian’s British Isles cruises are ideal for the traveller who wants to visit multiple destinations that are seeped with historical intrigue, such as Edinburgh— the capital of Scotland and the home to many monuments, memorials, and castles.
