Ethiopian Express starts flights to Shire Indaselassie

Ethiopian Airlines has commenced scheduled operation to Shire, Indasilssie effective October 25.

The new flights to Shire, Indaselassie will be operated as per the below schedule:

Flights depart Addis Ababa on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 12h20, arriving at Alula Aba Nega Airport (also known as Mek’ele Airport) at 13h45. From Mek’ele flights depart at 14h15, arriving in Shire at 14h50. The return service departs Shire at 15h20, arriving at Mek’ele at 15h55. Flights from Mek’ele then departs at 16h25, arriving in Addis Ababa at 17h55.

The commencement of flights to Indaselassie brings the number of the airline’s domestic destinations to 20. Ethiopian Airlines is also investing heavily in its domestic fleet and infrastructure development in an effort to facilitate the increase flow of tourism, investment and trade to all regions of the country.

Ethiopian is currently upgrading the facilities at regional airports and has recently launched a night flight to Axum and Gondar.
