Fire at Lion Camp, Zambia

1 min read

Late afternoon on Wednesday 5 September, the Mantis Collection had an unfortunate incident at the Lion Camp staff compound.

A fire broke out and caused damage to the junior staff accommodation. Lion Camp was fortunate to contain the fire to that specific area without any threat to the rest of the staff accommodation, guest rooms, and public areas. Fortunately, the entire team is safe and unharmed.

In-house guests have continued enjoying their Lion Camp experience without any interruption to their stay at all.

Lion Camp has is in the process of securing temporary staff accommodation to ensure that staff is accommodated and comfortable while on duty. Mantis Collection is assisting the team on the ground with necessary logistical support so that there is continuity with little disruption to daily operations.
