KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and South African airline kulula announced that they have signed a codeshare agreement to expand both airlines’ respective networks.
The new agreement will offer both KLM and kulula customers more destinations and more options to choose from starting May 29. KLM will add a KL code to kulula domestic route network, enabling KLM’s passengers from around the world connecting in Johannesburg and Cape Town to continue with a single ticket issue and a one-stop check-in and baggage transfer to:
East London, Cape town, Durban and George from Johannesburg
Durban also from Cape town
“We are very pleased to launch a new codeshare agreement with kulula. South Africa is a strong market for both business and leisure customers. With kulula we now have a key partner to better serve our customers throughout South Africa,” said Frank Prillevitz, KLM Director Alliances
Erik Venter, CEO Comair (Parent company of kulula) said: “We are delighted to be adding KLM as a key airline partner by entering into a codeshare agreement, effective from 29 May. KLM is a key airline partner and we will continue to work with them to explore opportunities to expand on our partnership. We are committed to provide their customers with the warmest of welcomes and best service on board our flights.”
