NANTA has welcomed the fact that South African Airways (SAA) is holding a power conference for travel professionals in Abuja on 21 June. The conference is held under the theme of “NetWorlding: Driving business development in a post-truth World “.

Adeshole Kayode, Director of Capstone Travels and Vice President of the National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA-Abuja Zone), explains travel agents in Nigeria have always had a good relationship with SAA.

Kayode says that the airline has had great support from the Nigerian travel trade, especially on the daily Lagos-Johannesburg route. “As a result of this relationship, the airline is now investing in re-equipping and retraining us in order to become more result-oriented professionals,” he says.

According to Kayode, this event will go a long way to make sure that travel agents in Abuja are in the know with regards to trending practices in the industry. He adds that travel agents feel privileged to be under the tutelage of the world-leading and renowned Olakunle Soriyan for the day.  Soriyan will be speaking on how travel agents can drive business development in a ‘post-truth’ world.

Says Kayode: “Periodic Training is essential to any organisation that wants to grow. Every travel agent in Abuja is prepared to experience a new dawn in the way of doing the travel business.”
