The Two Oceans Aquarium welcomes visitors for longer this festive season

1 min read

From 20 December 2017 to 07 January 2018, the Two Oceans Aquarium will extend its opening hours and will be open from 09:00 until 19:00 every day during this time, except for 25 December when it will close at 18h00.

Not only will be the Aquarium be open for longer each day, but visitors will also have the opportunity to take some time out in front of the newly renovated and reopened Predator Exhibit. The sharks are back and for an extra-special experience, visitors should try to visit during feeding time on Sundays at 15:00.

Daily, visitors will be able to view as divers feed the rays and turtles in the I&J Ocean Exhibit at 12:00, while at 14:00 every day, the fish in the I&J Ocean Exhibit receive a surface feed. During both these feeds a presenter provides insights and valuable information to those who have gathered to watch.

The Aquarium’s much-loved penguins are also fed daily at 11:30 and 14:30 where visitors will also receive an educational and informative talk about these charismatic and endangered birds, while enjoying their feeding antics.

Want to get up close and personal with a penguin? Penguin Experiences offer you the opportunity to meet our adorable rockhopper penguins (booking essential) – and contribute to our conservation fund.

For the little ones, the Aquarium’s I&J Children’s Play Centre will have a jam-packed festive season programme on offer. Kids will be able to enjoy themed arts and crafts and the ever-popular puppet shows.
