Arik Air has increased its route network just ahead of the festive by re-launching its Abuja-Calabar and Abuja-Uyo operations.
In a statement issued by Roy Ilegbodu, Chief Executive for the airline, he said the increased capacity is meant to enable Arik’s customers to celebrate the festive season with family and friends adding that the capacity increase will boost the airline’s domestic routes, especially in the south east and south-south zones.
He said the Abuja-Calabar and Abuja-Uyo services were suspended earlier in the year adding that the airline would operate five weekly flights on the routes.
“Similarly, the airline has increased the frequency between Lagos-Calabar, Lagos-Uyo, Lagos-Enugu, Lagos-Owerri, Abuja-Enugu to daily while Lagos-Asaba will operate five times weekly during the period.
“We are aware that many Nigerians are looking forward to the opportunity of celebrating the festive season with their loved ones across the country. As a caring airline, we have put measures in place to fly customers to their respective destinations during this festive season,” said Ilegbodu.
